75 ft Cat 6 crossover patch cable

This 75 ft Cat 6 crossover patch cable connects two network devices directly without a switch or router. The purple jacket makes it easy to identify in crowded racks or cable runs. It is suited for installers and IT staff who need a straight point-to-point link.

Crossover wiring for direct device links

The cable uses crossover pin-out so transmit pairs on one end meet receive pairs on the other. This wiring is the single specification that lets two similar ports communicate without an intermediate hub. Standard straight-through cables will not work for this purpose.

Snagless boots protect the RJ-45 clips

Moulded snagless boots cover the locking tabs on both RJ-45 plugs. They prevent the clips from catching on adjacent cables during installation or removal. The unshielded twisted-pair construction keeps the cable flexible for routing through tight pathways.

Questions about this item

What does the Cat 6 rating mean for speeds over a 75 ft run?

The cable meets Category 6 specifications, so it supports Gigabit Ethernet across the full 75 ft length.

How does the RJ45 connector type affect what I can plug this into?

Both ends use standard RJ45 plugs, so the cable fits any Gigabit Ethernet port on routers, switches, PCs or NAS devices.

Will the 75 ft purple cable fit through a typical wall plate or conduit?

The snagless boots protect the locking tabs, and the unshielded 4-pair construction keeps the outer diameter slim enough for standard keystone openings.
