18" Cardioid Gooseneck Microphone

The CAD Audio 727-18 is a cardioid dynamic microphone built on an 18-inch flexible gooseneck for speech capture. Its quick-mount design suits podiums, desks and console positions where a compact, adjustable solution is required. The matte-black finish keeps reflections low in lit environments.

RF-Resistant Architecture for Clean Speech

Internal shock suppression and a hardened grille protect the neodymium capsule from handling noise and physical knocks. The 120-degree pick-up angle rejects off-axis sound, reducing feedback and ambient pickup in reinforcement setups. The commercial-grade gooseneck holds its shape through daily repositioning without sag.

Suited to Fixed Speech Positions, Not Handheld

This microphone serves presenters, installers and streamers who need a permanent or semi-permanent mount with silent adjustment. It is not built for handheld performance, studio vocal recording or applications requiring phantom-powered condenser sensitivity. Users needing wireless freedom or a shorter desktop form factor should consider other types.

Questions about this item

What connector does the CAD Audio 727-18 use to mount and connect?

The microphone has a built-in 3-pin male XLR-type connector that plugs directly into a matching female XLR input on a mixer, preamp or podium base.

How do you position the 18-inch gooseneck without it sagging later?

Bend the 8 mm commercial-grade gooseneck to the desired angle; it is engineered to hold that shape and resist sag or fatigue through daily repositioning.

Does the capsule or grille need periodic replacement?

The hardened grille screen resists dents and deformation, and the neodymium dynamic capsule has no phantom-power electronics to wear out, so no scheduled replacement is required.
