Product identity

The Camius IRIS528R is a 5-megapixel PoE dome network camera built for fixed outdoor or indoor surveillance. It captures 2880 x 1620 video at 30 frames per second through a 2.8 mm lens with a 110-degree horizontal field of view. Integrated microphone and AI-driven human and vehicle detection suit homes and small businesses that want analytics without a separate server.

Power and network limits

A single RJ45 cable carries power, video and audio, so no local mains supply is needed at the camera. The ONVIF Profile S stream works with Camius NVRs, Blue Iris, Synology Surveillance Station and other RTSP-compatible recorders. Live view and recording top out at 2K resolution even though the sensor is 5 MP. Night vision reaches 100 feet with colour imaging in low light.

Deciding specification

Onboard storage accepts one microSD card up to 256 GB, giving a local recording alternative to cloud subscriptions or a dedicated NVR. If your installation needs more than 256 GB of continuous footage or redundant RAID storage, this camera cannot meet that need.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2.8 mm lens or a different focal length for wider coverage?

This model ships with a fixed 2.8 mm lens giving a 110° horizontal, 58° vertical and 133° diagonal view; no other focal length is offered.

What does the 2880 × 1620 resolution deliver in everyday recording?

It captures 2K video at 30 fps, providing over two million pixels — more than double a 1080p stream — so faces and plates stay readable at distance.

How does the RJ45 PoE connection limit cable runs and power options?

A single Ethernet cable carries power, video and audio up to 100 ft, removing the need for a separate power supply or local outlet.
