Signal conversion for security cameras

This Caroger converter translates TVI CVI AHD CVBS BNC signals to HDMI for monitors and HDTVs. It handles 720P 1080P 3MP 4MP 5MP 8MP inputs with automatic resolution recognition. Installers and system integrators use it to view analogue HD camera feeds on modern displays without a DVR.

Passive operation with loop-through

The unit draws power from the supplied adapter and adds no active cooling. A BNC loop output passes the original signal onward to a recorder while the HDMI port feeds a local screen. Coaxial runs of 500 to 700 metres are supported depending on the selected resolution.

Plug-and-play with no software

No drivers or configuration utilities are required; the device auto-detects the incoming format and scales to the HDMI output. The package includes the converter and a power supply so the link is operational immediately. Buyers who need on-screen menus recording functions or IP streaming should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I connect my BNC camera cable to this converter and what step is often missed?

Connect the camera's BNC cable to the BNC input, then run an HDMI cable from the converter's HDMI output to your monitor. The step often missed is powering the converter via its DC jack before expecting a signal.

Which component will need attention first after long-term use?

The DC power jack and internal power-regulation components are the most likely to need attention after extended operation.

What is the maximum coaxial cable length before the signal degrades at 1080P?

The converter supports coaxial transmission up to 500-700 metres; the exact limit depends on the resolution used.
