9" High-Velocity Drum Fan for Industrial Cooling

The Caterpillar CF-HVD-9AC-BLK is a 9-inch air circulator built for industrial environments and versatile home use. It delivers 940 CFM of airflow through a metal drum cage with an aluminum blade. A dual ball bearing enclosed motor drives four speed settings via a rotary switch. The 360° pivoting head allows precise directional control for targeted cooling or air circulation.

Check 120V Power and Mounting Space

Verify that the installation location provides a standard 120V / 60Hz electrical outlet for the 6-1/2 ft power cord. Confirm sufficient clearance for the drum cage and the adjustable tilt mechanism to operate without obstruction. Decide whether the sturdy tilt stand with rubber floor guards or the optional wall mount configuration suits the intended workspace better.

Frees Up Floor Space with Wall Mount Option

The fan functions in two ways: as a portable floor unit on its tilt stand or as a fixed wall-mounted circulator. Wall mounting frees up bench or floor area while the 360° pivoting head maintains full directional flexibility. The built-in cord wrap keeps the power cable tidy in either configuration. The enclosed motor design suits dusty workshops, garages, or job sites where durability matters.

Questions about this item

Does the Caterpillar CF-HVD-9AC-BLK include the wall-mount hardware or is that a separate purchase?

The fan functions two ways with a sturdy tilt stand and rubber floor guards included; wall mounting is optional, so the necessary bracket is not in the box.

How do I decide between the four speed settings for a workshop?

The rotary switch offers four distinct speeds; start on the lowest for light air circulation and step up until the 940 CFM maximum matches the cooling demand.

What does the 940 CFM rating actually deliver when the fan is running on a bench?

At full speed the dual ball-bearing motor moves 940 cubic feet of air per minute through the patented grill, creating a vortex pattern that pushes air three times farther than conventional grills.
