Training Scissors for Ages 3 to 5

These Channie's SC011 safety scissors are designed for preschoolers who are learning to cut for the first time. The blunt stainless-steel tips and small plastic handles suit hands that are still developing fine motor control. A two-pack provides a spare pair for classroom or home use.

Spring-Assisted Action for Repeated Cuts

A small internal spring automatically reopens the blades after each squeeze, reducing the effort needed for sustained cutting sessions. This mechanism helps young children maintain a rhythm during longer craft activities without hand fatigue. The stainless-steel blades keep their edge through repeated paper cutting.

Rounded Tips and Compact Handles

Rounded blade tips lower the risk of puncture injuries when the scissors are dropped or carried. The 14.605 cm overall length and 9.7028 cm width fit a child's grip, while the 0.041 kg weight makes them easy to control. Blue and green colour coding helps children identify their own pair quickly.

Questions about this item

Do the 14.605 cm plastic handles stay cool during a full day of classroom cutting?

The scissors have no motor or electronics, so they generate no heat and remain at room temperature all day.

What must I already have for the 0.041 kg pair to work right out of the box?

Nothing extra is required; the spring-assisted blades cut paper immediately.

Will the rounded stainless steel tips damage the 2015-vintage construction paper we still use?

The blunt tips are designed for safety and glide through standard construction paper without tearing.
