Clear Vinyl Tarp 4x6FT

This clear vinyl tarp measures 4x6FT and is made from PE material with an 8 mil thickness. It offers 80% transparency for visibility while providing waterproof and wind protection. The tarp is designed for indoor and outdoor use across various applications.

8 mil PE construction with heat-sealed edges

The tarp features heat-sealed and folded edges with poly rope sewn into the hem on all sides for tear resistance. Corners are reinforced with plastic plates and aluminum eyelets spaced 19.7 inches apart. This construction withstood wind gusts over 52 mph during testing.

Light transmission and coverage limits

The 80% transparency allows monitoring covered items without removing the tarp, making it suitable for greenhouses and patio covers. It handles rain protection and wind resistance for outdoor objects like canopies and decks. Machine cleaning is not recommended; wipe with soap or warm water only.

Questions about this item

How much light actually comes through the 80% transparency rating?

The tarp lets roughly four-fifths of natural light pass, so plants or covered items stay well illuminated while still being shielded from rain and wind.

What does the 19.7 in grommet spacing mean for tying it down?

Rust-proof aluminium eyelets sit every 19.7 inches along each reinforced edge, giving frequent tie-down points that distribute tension evenly across the heat-sealed hem.

Will the 8 mil thickness and reinforced corners handle the 52 mph gusts mentioned?

Yes — the 8 mil PE sheet has heat-sealed, rope-reinforced edges and plastic-corner plates with aluminium eyelets that survived wind gusts over 52 mph without tearing.
