Two Cat5e patch cords with RJ45 plugs deliver up to 1000 Mbps over 350 MHz bandwidth
This two-pack supplies two 7 ft Cat5e patch cords with RJ45 connectors on each end. The cables use copper-clad aluminium stranded wire built to the 568B wiring standard and a flexible PVC jacket. Gold-plated 8P8C contacts aim for lossless data transfer. They are rated for 350 MHz bandwidth and support speeds up to 1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet.
The cables suit anyone wiring PCs, routers, switches, VoIP phones, IP cameras, printers, gaming consoles or PoE devices in a Gigabit LAN. They are not for installers who need shielded cable for noisy electrical environments or runs that exceed the 100 m Cat5e channel limit. Buyers requiring pure copper conductors for Power over Ethernet loads beyond the CCA rating should look elsewhere.
The 350 MHz rating provides headroom for 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX and 10BASE-T traffic including server access, cloud backup and HD video streaming. Unshielded twisted pairs resist crosstalk and interference within the Cat5e specification. Performance drops off beyond the standard 100 m channel length or when aggregated multi-gigabit throughput is required.

The cables are rated for 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet, so the connected ports must also negotiate 1000 Mbps full-duplex to achieve the stated 1 Gbps speed.
Yes, they are backward compatible with 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX networks and will operate at the lower 10 or 100 Mbps speeds of legacy hardware.
Use a cable certifier or qualified tester that measures insertion loss, NEXT, and return loss up to 350 MHz; a passing Cat5e report confirms the link meets the rated performance.
