Cat6 UTP 23AWG bulk cable

This 1000 ft Cat6 UTP cable uses solid 23AWG copper-clad aluminium conductors in four twisted pairs. It is rated for 550 MHz bandwidth and supports data rates up to 10 Gbps over short runs. The cable meets the Category 6 standard for 100/1000BASE-T networks and is supplied in a white CMR-rated PVC jacket.

Pull-box packaging for installation

The cable ships in an easy-pull box with a large opening and footage markings printed along the jacket. This layout lets installers pull the exact length needed for home, office or commercial runs without tangles. The unshielded design keeps the cable flexible for routing through walls, conduit or ceiling spaces where plenum rating is not required.

10 Gbps practical distance limit

While the cable is specified for 10 Gbps signalling, the Category 6 standard guarantees that rate only up to 55 metres; beyond that distance it falls back to 1 Gbps. The CCA conductors also have higher DC resistance than solid copper, so Power over Ethernet budgets should be calculated accordingly. Installers needing guaranteed 10 Gbps at 100 metres should consider Category 6A instead.
