Solid UTP construction for fixed installations

This Cat6 cable uses 23AWG solid copper-clad aluminium conductors in four unshielded twisted pairs. It is designed for permanent runs through walls, ceilings or conduit where flexibility is less important than consistent geometry. The 1000 ft pull box supports long continuous pulls without splices.

Verify conduit space and termination hardware

Solid conductors require punch-down blocks, keystone jacks or patch panels rated for solid wire; standard stranded-cable RJ45 plugs will not seat reliably. The 0.57 mm conductor diameter and overall jacket size must fit your planned conduit fill and bend-radius limits. Confirm that your installer has a punch-down tool and cable tester before starting the pull.

Pull-box and footage markings simplify installation

The easy-pull box pays out cable smoothly and reduces kinking during long runs. Sequential footage numbers printed on the jacket let you measure remaining length at a glance without a separate meter. These features cut labour time on large jobs but do not change the cable’s electrical performance or its 10/100/1000 Mbps rated speed.

Questions about this item

Does the 1000 ft box include RJ45 connectors or must they be purchased separately?

The cable is supplied as a 1000 ft pull-box without attached RJ45 plugs; connectors and a crimp tool must be bought separately.

Should I choose this 23 AWG solid UTP version or a stranded alternative for in-wall runs?

The 23 AWG solid conductors meet Cat6 1000Base-T performance and are intended for fixed horizontal runs; stranded patch cable is better suited for frequent flexing.

What real-world speed will the certified 1000Base-T rating deliver through a 1000 ft link?

The cable supports Gigabit Ethernet at 1000 Mbps over the full 1000 ft length when terminated correctly with Cat6-rated hardware.
