CMPLE Open Screw Banana Plugs Pair

This pair of open screw banana plugs provides a secure, solder-free termination for speaker wire. The gold-plated copper body and ferromanganese tips resist corrosion while maintaining positive contact with binding posts. Colour-coded red and black rings ensure correct polarity during installation. Each order supplies two plugs, one of each colour.

Accepts 12 to 24 AWG speaker wire

The screw terminals accommodate bare wire, spade lugs or piggyback banana plugs across the full 12 to 24 AWG range. Wires thicker than 12 AWG or finer than 24 AWG cannot be secured in these connectors. The 1.75 inch length fits standard binding post spacing without protruding excessively. No other wire types or gauges are supported.

Open screw termination for binding posts

The single specification that decides suitability is the open screw termination designed for binding post connections. If your speakers or amplifier use spring clips, proprietary connectors or require soldered ends, these plugs will not mate correctly. Verify that your equipment presents standard binding posts before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Which gauge of speaker wire fits these 12-24AWG banana plugs?

The open screw terminals accept any stranded or solid conductor from 24AWG up to 12AWG, covering most common home speaker cables.

What does the 1.75 inch length mean once the plugs are installed?

Each plug body measures 1.75 inches, so the pair adds roughly 3.5 inches to the overall cable run when terminated.

What binding post standard do these banana plugs use and what does it cap?

They use the standard 4mm banana interface, fitting any 4mm binding post and capping the connection at the post's own current rating.
