Computar Ganz 50G-POE 50 Port PoE Switch surveillance accessory

Computar Ganz 50G-POE 50 Port PoE Switch

The Computar Ganz 50G-POE is a 50 port managed switch designed for surveillance deployments. It delivers IEEE 802.3af power over any of the 48 10/100 Ethernet ports. Two 10/100/1000 ports and two mini-GBIC slots provide uplink flexibility. A nonblocking 17.6 Gbps fabric handles camera traffic.

Suitable for installers needing high port density

This switch suits installers who need to power many cameras from a single rack unit. The 360 W total PoE budget supports 7.5 W per port across 48 ports or 15.4 W per port on up to 24 ports. Web, SSH and SSL management simplify remote configuration. Builders who need more than 15.4 W on every port simultaneously should look elsewhere.

360 W total PoE budget

The single specification that decides fit is the 360 W PoE budget shared across all 48 powered ports. It determines how many cameras can run at 15.4 W versus the 7.5 W baseline. Exceeding this budget will cause ports to shut down or cameras to lose power.
