Focal Range and Sensor Format

The Computar Ganz AG4Z1214FCS-MPIR is a varifocal CCTV lens covering 12.5-50mm at F1.4 for 1/2.7-inch sensors. It resolves 3 megapixels and includes DC auto-iris control for consistent exposure in changing light.

Installers Needing IR Correction and Focus Lock

This lens suits installers who require IR-corrected optics and a focus lock system to maintain sharpness through day and night cycles. It is not for systems using larger sensor formats or fixed-focal applications that do not need varifocal adjustment.

CS Mount Compatibility

The CS mount flange distance determines whether this lens fits the camera body. Verify the camera uses CS mount before purchasing, as C mount cameras would require an adapter that changes back-focus.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the DC auto-iris generate during all-day operation?

The DC auto-iris is a passive aperture mechanism; it produces no audible noise and negligible heat during continuous use.

Which camera body and mount are required for the CS-mount AG4Z1214FCS-MPIR to function?

A CS-mount camera body with a 1/2.7” sensor and DC auto-iris drive pins is needed for full operation.

Will the 12.5-50mm varifocal range cover the same field of view on my older 1/3” format camera?

On a 1/3” sensor the 12.5-50mm focal length yields a narrower angle of view than on the native 1/2.7” format.
