Computar Ganz CMB-1 6" Mounting Bracket

This Computar Ganz CMB-1 bracket provides a six-inch mounting solution for surveillance cameras. It features aluminium construction with a removable shaft and integrated T-bar clips for drop-ceiling installation. The accessory is designed for indoor security deployments requiring a discreet overhead position. It ships new and carries a three-year manufacturer warranty.

Installation Profile and Physical Constraints

The aluminium build keeps the bracket lightweight while maintaining rigidity for fixed camera positioning. Mounting relies on the supplied T-bar clips, so a compatible suspended ceiling grid is required. No active cooling, power draw or moving parts are present, making thermal and noise considerations irrelevant. The fixed six-inch length limits reach from the ceiling plane.

Questions about this item

How do I install the CMB-1 bracket onto a drop ceiling T-bar?

Slide the included T-bar clips onto the ceiling grid rails, then secure the bracket's base to the clips using the provided hardware. Ensure the removable shaft is fully seated and locked before mounting the camera.

What maintenance will the aluminum bracket and clips need over time?

Periodically check that the T-bar clip screws remain tight and the shaft locking mechanism has not loosened from vibration. Wipe the black finish with a dry cloth; no lubrication is required for the aluminum parts.
