Compact CCTV board camera

The Computar Ganz CMB712-V312A is a 600 TVL colour board camera designed for integration into custom surveillance housings or space-constrained installations. Its 42 x 42 mm footprint suits builders who need a discreet imaging module that runs on 12 VDC power.

Varifocal lens and analogue limits

A 3.3-12mm auto-iris varifocal lens lets installers adjust the field of view on site, while digital day/night switching handles changing light without mechanical filters. The analogue 600 TVL output caps detail at standard-definition levels and requires a compatible DVR or capture device; it cannot connect directly to IP networks or modern NVR systems.

Which lens range should I choose for a 42 mm board camera?

What does 600 TVL mean for recorded footage?

600 TVL delivers roughly 600 horizontal lines of detail, giving clear standard-definition analogue video suitable for general surveillance on a 12 VDC system.
