Built for outdoor surveillance

The Computar Ganz ZCOH5-D55NXA is a new CCTV dome camera rated at 700 TVL for analog security systems. It targets installers and property owners who need reliable coverage in exposed locations. The 5-50mm varifocal lens lets you adjust the field of view on site without swapping hardware.

IP66 housing with flexible mounting

The outdoor dome housing is designed to meet IP66 standards for dust and water resistance, and it includes a built-in conduit hole for cleaner cable entry. Both ceiling and wall mounting options are supported, so the same unit fits soffits, eaves or vertical surfaces. Power input auto-senses 12 VDC or 24 VAC, reducing wiring mismatches during installation.

Auto-profiles and test pattern speed setup

Four pre-programmed image profiles switch automatically to match changing light, while Smart Day/Night mode synchronises with external IR illumination. 2D/3D digital noise reduction and a super low-light rating of 0.00006 lux at 512× Sens-up keep detail visible in near darkness. A built-in colour-bar test pattern lets technicians verify focus and wiring on the spot.

Questions about this item

What video standard does the 700 TVL camera use and what resolution limit does it impose?

The camera outputs an analog signal rated at 700 TV lines, which caps usable horizontal resolution at roughly 700 TVL on a standard CCTV monitor or DVR input.

What mounting surfaces and hardware does the IP66 dome support?

The housing is designed for both ceiling and wall installation and includes a built-in conduit hole for cable entry.

How do I power the camera and which wiring step is often missed?

Connect either 12 VDC or 24 VAC; the unit auto-senses the voltage, but installers frequently forget to seal the conduit hole after wiring, risking water ingress.
