Perimeter protection for outdoor boundaries

The Computar Ganz ZI-AO60 is a short-range photoelectric detector designed to guard the extreme perimeter of a property. It suits installers who need a first line of defence across driveways, fence lines or building approaches.

Detection range and environmental limits

The beam covers up to 200 ft (60 m) in outdoor conditions. An IP65-rated enclosure shields the optics from rain, dust and insects, while integrated surge protection withstands transients up to 14 kV. The automatic gain control circuit maintains 99 % beam-blocking stability.

Upgrades from basic contact sensors

This unit replaces simple magnetic contacts or single-beam sensors that cannot span long outdoor gaps or survive harsh weather. The jump is worthwhile when a project demands reliable long-range detection with industrial-grade surge immunity and a three-year manufacturer warranty backed by Japanese production.
