The CoolGear MV1S converts HD-15 video output from a laptop or desktop into standard S-Video or Composite signals for a TV or HDTV. It draws power from a USB port so no separate adapter is needed. The unit works instantly without driver installation. It supports NTSC, PAL and SECAM television standards.

Resolution headroom and limits

Maximum supported resolution is 1920x1200 with 32-bit true colour quality. Scan-rate modes include 100Hz, 85Hz, 75Hz and 60Hz. The converter cannot exceed that resolution or refresh range. Buyers who need higher pixel counts or different scan rates will find the device stops at these limits.
