Dual HDMI adapter for laptops and desktops

The Sabrent DA-CA2H adds two HDMI displays to a single USB port at up to 4K@60Hz. It works with USB-C Alt Mode or USB-A through the attached adapter using DisplayLink. Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and ChromeOS are supported for extended or mirrored desktops. Stereo and 5.1 audio pass through both outputs with HDCP 1.4/2.3 for protected content.

Aluminum housing manages heat without fans

The lightweight alloy body dissipates heat from the dual 4K outputs during continuous use. No active cooling means silent operation in quiet rooms or shared desks. Power is drawn from the host USB port so no external supply is needed. The short integrated cable keeps the adapter close to the device and reduces strain on the port.

Upgrades single-port video on USB-C or USB-A hosts

Replaces a single-monitor dongle when a second external display is required for spreadsheets, code or presentations. The jump is worth it when the host lacks native multi-stream transport or a second video port. It is not for users who need more than two displays or who require a powered dock with additional USB, Ethernet or charging ports.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the Sabrent DA-CA2H to a laptop that only has USB-A ports?

Use the integrated USB-A adapter attached to the cable; plug it into the USB-A port, connect both HDMI cables, then install DisplayLink software to enable extended mode on systems without MST.

Will the aluminum housing need any thermal maintenance after extended daily use?

The aluminum alloy housing provides passive heat dissipation with no moving parts, so no cleaning or thermal paste replacement is required during normal operation.

At what resolution and refresh rate does the adapter hit its bandwidth ceiling when driving two monitors?

The limit appears at 4K@60Hz per output; sustained dual-display operation at that rate is the maximum supported configuration.
