Cat 8 Shielded Cable 45 ft

This Corn Electronics Cat 8 patch cord runs at 2000 MHz and supports 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T links. The 45 ft black cable uses 26 AWG pure copper conductors with aluminium foil and woven mesh shielding under a PVC jacket. Gold-plated RJ45 connectors are fitted at both ends for indoor or outdoor installation.

Suits 25G or 40G uplinks.

The shielded construction and 2 GHz bandwidth target data-centre switch-to-server links and high-performance LANs. It remains fully backward compatible with Cat5 through Cat7 equipment. Installers requiring distances beyond 45 ft should select a different length.

2000 MHz operating frequency

The cable is rated for 2000 MHz operation, which determines its ability to carry 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T signals. This frequency rating is the single specification that confirms whether the cable matches the intended network speed.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the 45 ft Cat8 cable need for its 26 AWG conductors and double shielding?

The 26 AWG pure copper core with aluminium foil and woven mesh shields fits standard conduit and raceway; allow a bend radius of roughly four times the cable diameter.

How do I terminate the gold-plated RJ45 plugs on this shielded Cat8 cable without damaging the grounding tab?

Insert each plug straight until the latch clicks; do not twist the boot, as that can shear the shield contact inside the metal shell.

When should I inspect or replace the PVC jacket on this direct-burial Cat8 run?

Check the black PVC jacket annually for UV cracking or abrasion; replace the cable if the jacket splits or the woven mesh becomes exposed.
