Product Identity

The Corsair HS80 RGB USB is a wired gaming headset connecting via USB with Dolby Audio 7.1 surround sound. It targets PC and PlayStation players who want high-fidelity 24bit/96kHz audio and a broadcast-grade microphone in a carbon black finish.

Who It Suits And Who It Does Not

The headset suits gamers seeking long-session comfort from memory foam earpads and a floating headband, plus clear voice capture from the flip-up omni-directional mic with LED mute indicator. Buyers who need wireless freedom should look elsewhere.

Deciding Specification

The USB wired connection delivers 24bit/96kHz high-fidelity audio through custom-tuned 50mm neodymium drivers with a 20Hz-40,000Hz frequency range, making the digital USB interface the single factor that determines compatibility and sound quality.

Questions about this item

What USB port and head space does the HS80 RGB USB headset need?

The headset plugs into a standard USB-A port and its floating headband adjusts to fit most head sizes; the 1.8 m cable reaches a rear motherboard port without strain.

How do I install the HS80 RGB USB headset and what step do people miss?

Plug the USB connector into the PC or console, then select the headset as the default audio and microphone device in the OS sound settings — the step many skip.

When will the memory-foam earpads on the HS80 RGB USB need replacing?

The included memory-foam earpads with microfiber covers typically last one to two years of daily use before compression or wear makes them worth swapping.
