Power capacity and form factor

The CyberPower OR1500PFCRT2U is a 1500VA/1050W pure sine wave UPS designed for rack or tower deployment in a 2U footprint. It provides battery backup and surge protection for servers, workstations, network devices and telecom equipment that require Active PFC power source compatibility. The unit includes eight NEMA 5-15R outlets and a 10-foot input cord with a NEMA 5-15P plug. A rotatable LCD panel displays runtime, battery capacity and load information.

Suitable applications and limitations

This UPS suits environments needing clean power for conventional and Active PFC power supplies, with automatic voltage regulation correcting minor fluctuations without battery use. It offers HID USB and DB9 serial connectivity plus PowerPanel Business management software. Protection for RJ11/RJ45 and RG-6 connections is included alongside EMI/RFI filtering. Buyers needing higher VA ratings, longer runtime at full load, or different outlet configurations should consider other models.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous load the AVR topology maintains consistent AC output while preserving battery capacity for actual outages. The four user-replaceable 12V/7Ah batteries support the 900W rated output during extended power events. LCD readouts track remaining runtime and load percentage in real time, allowing administrators to manage graceful shutdowns via the communication ports before reserves are exhausted.

Questions about this item

What input receptacle does the NEMA 5-15P plug on the 10 foot cord require?

The NEMA 5-15P plug fits a standard NEMA 5-15R wall receptacle.

Will the UPS support legacy servers that draw non-PFC power supplies alongside newer Active PFC equipment?

Yes, the pure sine wave output and AVR topology protect both conventional and Active PFC power supplies on the eight NEMA 5-15R outlets.

How can I confirm the UPS is delivering clean power after installation?

The rotatable LCD panel shows real-time load capacity, battery capacity, estimated runtime and power conditions so you can verify normal operation.
