Product identity

The Datalogic Gryphon GM4500 is a cordless handheld barcode scanner built around a 2D area imager with single-dot aiming. It reads common 1D and 2D codes omnidirectionally and ships as a kit with a WLC4090 base and USB cable for charging and communication.

Who it suits

Retail, warehouse and point-of-sale teams needing wireless freedom and contactless charging will benefit from the 910 MHz STAR cordless system or Bluetooth link. Operations that require a tethered device or a different radio band should consider other form factors.

Sustained operation

The wireless charging base removes physical connector wear during continuous shift use, while the 910 MHz link maintains stable coverage across typical floor areas. Battery management through the cradle keeps the scanner ready for high-volume scanning without downtime for cable swaps.
