Aluminium Platform Truck 2400 lb

The Dayton 13X476 is a heavy-duty platform truck built with an aluminium frame and deck. It supports a load capacity of 2400 lb across a 60 in by 30 in deck surface. The raised handle and 12 in deck height suit warehouse and industrial material-handling tasks.

Upgrade from Steel or Lower-Capacity Carts

This model replaces steel-platform carts that add weight and can corrode in damp environments. The aluminium construction reduces unladen mass while maintaining the 2400 lb rating. The jump is worth it when operators need a lighter truck for frequent loading without sacrificing deck strength.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The solid 10 ga ribbed aluminium deck distributes weight evenly across the 60 in length during continuous use. With no side panels and a flush lip, loads slide on and off without snagging during repetitive cycles. The fixed 44 in overall height keeps the centre of gravity stable when the truck is fully loaded for extended transport runs.

Questions about this item

Will the 60 in by 30 in aluminium deck with 12 in deck height fit through a standard doorway?

The platform measures 60 in long by 30 in wide with a 12 in deck height, so it requires a clear opening wider than 30 in and taller than 44 in overall height.

How do I attach the raised handle to the aluminium frame, and what step is often missed?

Bolt the handle brackets to the pre-drilled frame holes using the supplied hardware, then tighten all fasteners evenly; the step often missed is checking that the handle locks upright before loading.

What maintenance does the ribbed aluminium deck and 10 ga gauge need over time?

Inspect the ribbed surface for debris buildup, clean with mild soap and water, and periodically check that all frame bolts remain tight on the 10 ga aluminium deck.
