Product Identity

This double-sided acrylic foam tape from Decker Tape Products measures one inch wide and thirty-six yards long. It is built for converters and manufacturers who need a permanent bond without mechanical fasteners. The forty-five mil thickness provides structural rigidity for demanding assembly work.

Thermal Noise Power

The product is a passive adhesive tape with no moving parts, electrical draw or heat generation. It produces zero noise during application or service. No power supply, cooling or acoustic management is required.

Deciding Specification

The forty-five mil acrylic foam construction delivers high initial and final tack on contact, replacing drilling, welding and screws in trailer, RV, marine and automotive manufacturing. Buyers who need a thinner profile or a different adhesive chemistry should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install this 1" x 36 Yd double-sided acrylic foam tape so it bonds properly?

Clean both surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and let them dry completely, press the tape firmly onto the first substrate, remove the liner, then apply firm, even pressure across the full bond line to achieve immediate handling strength.

What maintenance or replacement will this 45 mil acrylic foam tape need over time?

The tape is designed as a permanent bond and does not require scheduled maintenance; replacement is only necessary if the joint is mechanically damaged or the substrates themselves fail.

What is the first limit that appears when this 45 mil tape is under sustained load?

The bond line will reach its shear or peel strength limit before the foam core yields, so design the joint area to keep continuous stress below the adhesive's rated holding power.
