General Purpose Kraft Flatback Tape

This tape is a general purpose kraft flatback product sold as a case of ninety-six rolls. Each roll measures three-eighths of an inch wide by sixty yards long. The rubber adhesive formulation suits box sealing, reinforcing paper bags and boxes, and patching or covering used cartons. It works with hand dispensers or automatic case sealers.

Users who need strong seals

The 36 lbs per inch tensile strength and 60 oz per inch adhesion serve packers who need reliable carton closure. The 40 to 180 degree Fahrenheit temperature range fits unheated warehouses and hot loading docks. Buyers who need wider tape for larger cartons or a different adhesive chemistry should look at other products.

Meets Government Spec PPP-T-42C Type II

This specification confirms the tape meets defined federal requirements for flatback paper tape. The 7 mil thickness and 7 percent elongation support consistent performance in high-volume sealing. Compliance with PPP-T-42C Type II is the single detail that tells a procurement officer this is the correct part.

Questions about this item

How many rolls come in a single case?

Each case contains 96 rolls of 3/8 inch wide tape, each roll providing 60 yards of length for high-volume sealing tasks.

What does the 36 lbs/in tensile strength mean when sealing cartons?

The 36 lbs/in tensile rating indicates the force required to break the tape widthwise, so it resists splitting under heavy box loads and rough handling.

How does the PPP-T-42C Type II specification affect use with case sealers?

Meeting PPP-T-42C Type II confirms the tape meets government standards for flatback construction, ensuring reliable feeding through both hand dispensers and automatic case sealers.
