Automotive & Marine Masking Tape

This 2-inch wide masking tape comes in a case of 24 rolls, each 60 yards long. It is built for automotive painting, marine painting, and metal part masking and finishing. The rubber adhesive formulation provides reliable bonding across a wide temperature range of 32 to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. It suits professional painters and fabricators needing consistent high-temperature performance.

Capacity & Temperature Headroom

Each roll delivers 60 yards of 7.3 mil thick tape with 26 lbs/in tensile strength and 28 oz/in adhesion. The 10 percent elongation allows the tape to conform to curves without snapping during application. It withstands continuous exposure up to 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes and removes cleanly afterwards. The tape runs out when sustained heat exceeds 325 degrees or exposure time passes 30 minutes.

Clean Removal After Heat Cycling

The defining specification is clean removal after 30 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit. This ensures painted edges stay sharp and surfaces remain residue-free after bake cycles. Buyers who need longer dwell times at peak temperature or adhesive systems designed for powder-coating ovens beyond 325 degrees should verify compatibility before purchase.
