High-strength natural flatback tape with rubber adhesive, 51 lbs/in tensile strength, 93 oz/in adhesion, and 8.4 mil thickness for carton sealing and splicing
This high-strength natural flatback tape is built for hand and machine carton sealing, heavy-duty splicing and light sandblasting masking. The aggressive rubber adhesive meets government, motor freight, air express, railway express, airfreight and postal shipment requirements. A case contains 96 rolls, each 3/8 inch wide by 60 yards long, for high-volume packing operations.
The tape operates reliably from 32 to 180 degrees Fahrenheit, maintaining bond strength across cold storage and warm transit conditions. Rubber adhesive delivers 93 oz/in adhesion and the 8.4 mil backing provides 51 lbs/in tensile strength with 4 percent elongation. Meets Government Spec PPP-T-76C Type V for regulated shipping compliance.
Replaces general-purpose carton tapes when shipments face temperature extremes, rough handling or regulatory mandates. The jump is worth it for freight, express and postal loads that must pass PPP-T-76C Type V testing. Not suited for buyers who need wider rolls, longer lengths per roll or a different adhesive chemistry.

Press the tape firmly onto a clean, dry surface at room temperature; the aggressive rubber adhesive needs full contact to reach its 93 oz/in adhesion rating, and skipping the pressure step is the most common mistake.
The rubber adhesive stays tacky across the 32 to 180 °F range, but prolonged exposure above 180 °F or to UV light can degrade it, so store rolls in a cool, shaded area and replace any tape that loses its 93 oz/in grip.
The adhesive softens as it approaches the 180 °F upper limit, causing shear loss before the 51 lbs/in tensile strength or 8.4 mil backing is compromised.
