Dual-Port External SAS Adapter for Dell Servers

This refurbished Dell 12DNW host bus adapter adds two external 6Gb SAS ports to a server through a standard PCI Express slot. It operates in non-RAID mode so the operating system or a software stack manages the connected drives directly. The card ships with a standard-height bracket already fitted.

Simple PCI Express Installation

Installation requires an available PCI Express slot and the standard bracket aligns with typical server chassis cut-outs. Because the adapter is non-RAID, no onboard BIOS configuration is needed, but the host operating system must provide SAS HBA drivers for the attached storage to appear. Buyers who need internal SAS ports or hardware RAID functionality should select a different adapter.
