Dell 15 Laptop Intel Core i7 13th Gen

The Dell 15 business laptop ships new with Windows 11 Home on a 15.6-inch anti-glare touchscreen. It runs a 10-core Intel Core i7-1355U processor with a maximum boost clock of 5.0 GHz, 12 MB smart cache and 12 threads. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive the 1920x1080 panel. Memory is 32 GB DDR4 and storage is a 2 TB SSD.

Who this suits and who it does not

This configuration suits professionals who need a responsive touchscreen for presentations, annotation or field work and who value the long-lasting 41 Wh battery with ExpressCharge. Buyers who require discrete graphics for 3D rendering or video editing, or who need more than three USB ports for peripheral-heavy workflows, should look elsewhere.

Deciding specification

The single specification that decides fit is the integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics paired with the 10-core i7-1355U; it delivers capable office and light creative performance but cannot replace a discrete GPU for sustained heavy workloads.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop ship with a power adapter or do I need to buy one separately?

The unit is supplied new in its factory box, which is normally opened only for the RAM and SSD upgrades; a standard Dell power adapter is included inside.

Should I choose the 32 GB DDR4 configuration or would a smaller amount be enough for typical business workloads?

The 32 GB DDR4 memory is already the maximum the platform supports, so there is no smaller option to select — it covers heavy multitasking and large spreadsheets without further upgrades.

How does the Intel Iris Xe graphics with 12 threads perform when driving an external monitor through the HDMI 1.4 port?

The integrated Iris Xe GPU can drive a second display at 1920 x 1080 over HDMI 1.4 for office applications and video playback; it is not intended for 3D rendering or gaming workloads.
