Dell AL-1250 60W Power Adapter
This Dell AL-1250 adapter delivers 12V at 5A for devices that draw up to 60W. It suits LED strips, LCD screens, cameras and similar 12V DC equipment that uses a 5.5mm barrel jack.
Installation and polarity
The unit plugs into a NEMA 5-15P mains socket and provides a 3m cable ending in a dual-fit barrel plug that accepts both 2.1mm and 2.5mm centre pins. Polarity is centre positive; reversing it will prevent operation. The brick must rest on a hard, flat surface with clearance for heat dissipation and must not be placed on beds, carpets or fabrics.
Input range and connector limits
The supply accepts AC 100V to 240V at 50Hz or 60Hz for worldwide indoor use. It cannot power devices that require more than 5A or a voltage other than 12V DC. The fixed barrel connector also rules out equipment that uses screw terminals, USB-C PD or proprietary DC jacks.
