The Dell ALT-1203 delivers a regulated 12 V DC output at up to 3 A for a maximum of 36 W. It targets anyone needing a replacement or spare adapter for 12 V devices such as LED strip lights, CCTV cameras, routers, monitors, DVD players or external hard drives.
Interchangeable tip set and cable reach
Fourteen barrel and USB tips cover common sizes from 2.5×0.7 mm up to 6.5×4.4 mm plus Micro-USB, Type-C and a DC terminal connector. The 6.2 ft cord length gives flexibility when routing power to ceiling-mounted cameras, under-cabinet lighting or equipment racks without stretching the cable.
Fixed 36 W ceiling and polarity constraint
The adapter cannot supply more than 3 A, so devices requiring higher current at 12 V will not operate correctly. Polarity is locked to centre-positive, barrel-negative; equipment wired for the opposite polarity must not be connected. Input auto-ranges from 100 to 240 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz, but output voltage is not adjustable.
