The Dell ALT-1203 delivers 12 V at 3 A for 36 W maximum output. It suits LED strips, plant grow lights, digital picture frames, monitors, cameras and routers that draw up to 3 A. The unit accepts 100-240 V AC at 50/60 Hz for worldwide mains use.
Barrel connector with female terminal
A 5.5 mm x 2.5 mm male barrel plug fits devices with 5.5 mm x 2.1 mm sockets as well. Polarity is centre-positive, barrel-negative. The included screw-terminal female connector lets you attach bare wires for hardware lacking a DC jack. Flame-retardant casing and 20 AWG copper cable resist heat and physical stress.
3 A current ceiling
Output stops at 3 A, so any load above 3000 mA will not operate. Built-in overload, over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature and short-circuit protection shut the adapter down before damage occurs.
