Questions about this item

Does the VTGX6 ribbon cable generate heat or draw noticeable power during continuous use?

The VTGX6 is a passive 11.6" touchscreen LCD ribbon cable; it carries only display signals and draws no power of its own, so it produces no heat during all-day operation.

What tools or parts must I already have to install this cable in my Chromebook 11 5190 2-in-1?

You need a compatible Dell Chromebook 11 5190 2-in-1 laptop, a small Phillips screwdriver, a plastic pry tool, and an anti-static wrist strap to safely replace the display cable.

Will this VTGX6 cable work if I keep the original non-2-in-1 Chromebook 11 5190 chassis?

No — the VTGX6 is built for the 2-in-1 model with a 360-degree hinge; it is not compatible with the standard laptop version of the Chromebook 11 5190.
