Dell Inspiron 2600 2650 LCD Ribbon Cable

This genuine Dell OEM ribbon cable replaces the display connection in Inspiron 2600 and 2650 laptops with 15 inch XGA screens. It carries the video signal between the motherboard and the LCD panel. The part number is 2U979. Buyers repairing other Dell models or different screen sizes need a different cable.

Simple ribbon-cable swap for experienced repairers

Installation requires opening the laptop lid assembly and routing the thin flexible circuit through the hinge area. The delicate conductors tear easily if bent sharply or pulled. Common issues are misaligned connectors, pinched cables after reassembly, and confusion with similar-looking cables for other Inspiron models.
