Product identity

The Dell Inspiron 3520 is a 15.6 inch laptop built around a 12th Generation Intel Core i7-1255U 8-core processor with 64GB DDR4 RAM and a 1TB solid state drive. It runs Windows 11 Pro and uses Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics on a 120Hz 250-nits anti-glare display.

Display and connectivity

The 1920 x 1080 panel adds a 120Hz refresh rate and anti-glare coating for smoother motion and reduced reflections during office work or media playback. Wifi 802.11AX and Bluetooth 5 provide current wireless standards, while an HDMI port allows an external monitor.

Compatibility check

Buyers who need a dedicated graphics card for 3D rendering or high-frame-rate gaming should look elsewhere. Those who require a touchscreen, a larger storage capacity than 1TB, or a higher brightness panel than 250-nits will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

Can the 64GB DDR4 RAM be upgraded later?

The 64GB DDR4 RAM is installed at the maximum capacity this model supports, so no further memory upgrade is possible.

What limits performance first during long workloads on the i7-1255U?

The 15W base power envelope of the 8-core i7-1255U causes thermal throttling before the 1TB SSD or 120Hz display become bottlenecks.

How loud and hot does the chassis get when running all day?

Sustained loads push the integrated Iris Xe graphics and 4.70GHz turbo, so fan noise rises and the keyboard deck warms noticeably after extended use.
