Inspiron 3520 15 Touchscreen Laptop

The Dell Inspiron 3520 15 is a new 15.6-inch Windows 11 Pro laptop with a 1920 x 1080 FHD touchscreen, a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U 10-core processor, 16GB DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD. It includes a webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and an Office 2024 licence.

Suits office work and study, not discrete graphics

Buyers who need a dedicated GPU for CAD, modern gaming or heavy video editing should look elsewhere. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles everyday applications, video playback and light creative tasks. The single HDMI 1.4b port supports one external display.

2TB PCIe SSD primary storage

The 2TB PCIe solid-state drive is the key specification deciding fit: it holds large project libraries and media without external drives. There is no secondary hard-drive bay and the memory is fixed at 16GB DDR4, so storage expansion relies on USB or the SD card reader.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions and weight of this Inspiron 3520?

The laptop measures 14.11 by 9.27 by 0.83 inches and weighs 3.65 pounds.

Does the 12th Gen i5-1235U require any special driver steps during a clean Windows 11 Pro install?

Windows 11 Pro includes native support for the 10-core 1235U; let Windows Update fetch the latest Intel chipset and UHD Graphics drivers after first boot.

Can the 16 GB DDR4 memory or 2 TB PCIe SSD be upgraded later?

Both components are soldered or installed in non-user-accessible slots, so neither the 16 GB DDR4 nor the 2 TB PCIe SSD can be upgraded after purchase.
