Dell Latitude 3520 for everyday work

The Dell Latitude 3520 is a 15.2 inch laptop built around an Intel Core i5-1135G7 quad-core processor and 8 GB of DDR4 memory. It ships with Windows 11 Pro installed and uses a 250 GB NVME drive for storage. The 1920 x 1080 non-touch display and integrated graphics handle typical office applications and video playback.

Suits students and office users.

This configuration suits students, remote workers and small-business users who need a reliable machine for web browsing, document editing, email and video calls. Buyers who want a backlit keyboard, a built-in webcam or discrete graphics for rendering or gaming should look at other models. The single HDMI port covers basic external display needs.

250 GB NVME and 8 GB DDR4 with 16 GB ceiling

The 250 GB NVME drive provides fast boot and application loading for a modest library of files and programs. The 8 GB of DDR4 memory handles multitasking with several browser tabs and office apps open simultaneously. Memory can be expanded to a maximum of 16 GB across two slots when workloads demand more headroom.

Questions about this item

What existing DDR4 memory stick can I add to reach the 16 GB maximum?

The laptop has two DDR4 slots and ships with 8 GB installed. Adding one 8 GB DDR4 module in the free slot brings total memory to the supported 16 GB limit.

Will my older 1080p monitor work through the HDMI port?

Yes. The single HDMI output supports 1920 x 1080 resolution, so a 1080p display will run at its native resolution without scaling issues.

How can I confirm the NVME drive is recognised at full speed after first boot?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, and verify the 250 GB drive appears as an NVME device with active read and write throughput.
