Mobile 2-in-1 with detachable keyboard

The Dell Latitude 5290 2-in-1 is a 12.3 inch FHD touchscreen tablet that pairs with a detachable travel keyboard for notebook use. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 16 GB DDR4 RAM and a 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD. The auto-deploy kickstand rotates up to 150 degrees for flexible viewing angles.

16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD capacity

Sixteen gigabytes of onboard DDR4 memory handles multitasking across office applications and browser tabs without swapping. The 1 TB NVMe solid-state drive provides ample space for local files, projects and the operating system. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 drives the 1920 x 1080 display and external monitors but is not suited for demanding 3D workloads or modern gaming titles.

USB-C DisplayPort and 42 Whr battery

Two USB Type-C ports with DisplayPort functionality connect external displays and peripherals while a USB 3.0 port and headphone jack cover legacy needs. Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi handle wireless connectivity. The 42 Whr battery supports all-day mobility for the 12.5 inch Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protected screen. The stylus is sold separately.

Questions about this item

Will the 12.3" FHD touchscreen and Intel HD Graphics 620 drive my older 1080p monitor over the USB-C DisplayPort connection?

Yes, the two USB Type-C ports support DisplayPort output, so the integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 can feed a 1920 x 1080 external display alongside the built-in panel.

How can I verify the quad-core i5-8350U is hitting its 3.60 GHz turbo and the 42 Whr battery is charging correctly?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab to watch the CPU frequency climb to 3.60 GHz under load, and check the battery icon in Windows 11 Pro to confirm the 42 Whr pack reports charging and estimated runtime.

Does the box include the detachable travel keyboard and an active stylus, or must I buy either separately?

The package contains the tablet, the auto-deploy kickstand, the detachable travel keyboard and an OEM AC adapter; the stylus is sold separately.
