Portable 2-in-1 with detachable keyboard

The Dell Latitude 5290 2-in-1 is a 12.3 inch touchscreen tablet that pairs with a detachable travel keyboard. An 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor runs at 1.90 GHz with turbo up to 4.20 GHz. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 handles the 1920 x 1080 FHD display. The system ships with 8 GB DDR4 RAM and a 512 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD.

Suits mobile professionals needing pen

Workers who want a lightweight Windows 10 Pro device with a 150 degree kickstand and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection will benefit. Buyers who require discrete graphics performance or user-replaceable memory should look elsewhere. The 42 Whr battery supports all-day office tasks but cannot be swapped in the field.

Fits a minimal desk setup with USB-C docking

Two USB Type-C ports with DisplayPort functionality drive external monitors while a USB 3.0 port connects peripherals. Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi handle wireless accessories. The onboard SSD and soldered RAM leave no internal upgrade slots, so storage expansion relies on the USB-C or USB 3.0 interfaces. An OEM AC adapter is included; the active stylus is sold separately.

Questions about this item

Does the Latitude 5290 2-in-1 need a separate keyboard, or is one included?

The supplier notes include an OEM AC adapter; a travel keyboard is described as detachable, and a stylus is sold separately.

Will the USB 3.0 Type-A port and dual USB-C ports with DisplayPort work with my older USB 2.0 drives and HDMI monitor?

Open Task Manager’s Performance tab or a hardware monitor and watch the CPU clock rise toward 4.20 GHz during demanding tasks.
