Rugged 14-inch business laptop

The DELL Latitude 5424 is a new rugged laptop built for harsh environments with specialised chassis construction and high-cycle testing. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor with 8MB cache and speeds up to 4.20 GHz. The 14.0-inch FHD display offers 1920 x 1080 resolution without touchscreen. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles visual output.

Upgrade from standard business laptops

This model replaces conventional laptops that cannot survive drops, vibration, dust or direct sunlight. The jump is worth it when field work demands a toughened direct-view screen readable outdoors and MIL-STD durability. It adds USB 3.0, USB Type C, HDMI, DisplayPort, serial and RJ-45 ports plus optional LTE 4G and dedicated GPS for connectivity away from the desk.

Suits mobile professionals in tough conditions

It fits workers who need all-day battery options with hot-swap bridge battery support for full-shift productivity. Buyers who want more storage than the 256GB SSD or 16GB DDR4 memory should look elsewhere. Users requiring discrete graphics performance or a touchscreen display will not find those features here.
