Built for field work

The DELL Latitude 5424 is a rugged laptop engineered for harsh environments with military-grade construction and rigorous component testing. It targets professionals who need a durable 14.0-inch device that survives direct sunlight, dust and vibration while running Windows 11 Pro.

Memory and storage headroom

The system ships with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 256GB SSD, providing enough capacity for standard business applications and local file storage. Demanding workloads such as large databases, virtual machines or heavy multimedia editing will exceed the available RAM and storage headroom.

Sunlight-readable 14.0-inch FHD display

The non-touch 1920 x 1080 panel delivers high brightness for outdoor visibility, making it the deciding factor for mobile workers who operate in bright conditions. Buyers who need touchscreen interaction or higher resolution for detailed design work should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the USB 3.0 ports on this Latitude 5424 run my existing USB 2.0 peripherals?

Yes, the USB 3.0 ports are backwards compatible with USB 2.0 devices so your current peripherals will work without adapters.

How can I confirm the Intel Core i7-8650U is reaching its 4.20 GHz turbo speed under load?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab or a hardware monitor and watch the CPU frequency climb to 4.20 GHz during demanding tasks.

Does the box include a Dell OEM charger or do I need to buy one separately?

A Dell OEM charger is included in the box, so no separate power adapter purchase is required.
