Product identity

The DELL Latitude 5511 is a 15.6-inch business laptop powered by a 6-core Intel Core i7-10850H processor with a base speed of 2.7 GHz and a maximum turbo of 5.10 GHz. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB nVME SSD. The non-touch IPS display shows 1920 x 1080 resolution at 220 nits with a 45% colour gamut. Windows 10 Pro comes pre-installed.

Who it suits and who should look elsewhere

This configuration suits professionals who need strong multi-threaded CPU performance and ample memory for virtual machines, large spreadsheets or development workloads while staying mobile. Buyers who require discrete graphics for 3D rendering, video editing or gaming should look elsewhere. Users needing more than 256 GB of fast internal storage or a touch-enabled screen will not find those features here.

Capacity and headroom

The 32 GB DDR4 allocation handles heavy multitasking and memory-intensive applications comfortably, with the platform supporting up to 64 GB if an upgrade becomes necessary. The 256 GB nVME drive provides quick boot and application launch speeds but will fill rapidly with large media libraries or multiple virtual-machine images. Thunderbolt and USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports allow fast external storage expansion when internal space runs out.

Questions about this item

What power adapter do I need to charge the 5511?

The laptop uses a 7.4 mm DC-in barrel connector for charging, so a Dell barrel-tip adapter with the correct wattage is required.

Can I keep using my USB-A peripherals with the USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports?

Yes, the three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports are fully backward compatible with existing USB-A mice, keyboards, drives and other accessories.

How can I confirm the i7-10850H is hitting its 5.10 GHz turbo after setup?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab or a tool like HWiNFO and watch the core clocks rise to 5.10 GHz during a heavy single-thread workload.
