Compact Business Notebook

The Dell Latitude 7290 is a 12.5-inch laptop built for mobile professionals who need a lightweight Windows 11 Pro machine. It pairs an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8650U quad-core processor with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB PCIe M.2 SSD. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles everyday visual tasks without a discrete GPU.

Verify Ports And Display Needs

Confirm that the 1366 x 768 HD non-touch resolution meets your workflow requirements before ordering. The system provides a pair of USB 3.0 ports and USB Type-C ports with DisplayPort functionality for external monitors. Wireless connectivity relies on Intel Dual Band Wireless with Bluetooth 4.1, and a front-facing webcam is included for video calls.

Fits Tight Workspaces

At 2.69 lbs the chassis suits cramped desks, airline trays and frequent relocation without a dedicated graphics card to accommodate. The 256 GB SSD leaves the single M.2 slot occupied, so storage expansion would require replacing the drive. Dual-channel 8 GB x 2 memory fills both SODIMM sockets, limiting further RAM upgrades without module removal.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop ship with a charger and are any cables or adapters sold separately?

The unit includes the laptop and Windows 11 Pro pre-installed. A power adapter is standard with new Dell systems; no extra cables are required for the built‑in USB 3.0, USB‑C with DisplayPort, or headphone jack.

Should I pick the 256 GB SSD or a larger 512 GB or 1 TB drive for this i7‑8650U model?
