Built for Mobile Professionals

The Latitude 7290 is a 12.5" laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-8650U processor at 1.9 GHz with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB NVMe SSD. It runs Windows 10 Home on integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 at 1366 x 768 resolution. The compact chassis suits users who prioritise portability over screen real estate.

Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI Expand Connectivity

A single Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port enables high-speed data transfer and external display support alongside one HDMI output. Two USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 handle peripherals and networks. A microSD card reader adds removable storage without extra adapters.

Straightforward Setup With Limited Upgrade Path

The package includes the laptop, charger and battery for immediate use. Memory and storage are soldered or difficult to access, so future upgrades are not practical. Buyers needing user-replaceable components or a touchscreen should consider other form factors.

Questions about this item

Will the 512 GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD need replacement if I fill it with large project files?

The installed 512 GB NVMe drive is the only internal storage; if capacity runs low you must add external storage or replace the drive with a larger M.2 NVMe module.

Which component hits its limit first when the Intel Core i7-8650U runs at 100 % on all four cores for hours?

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 shares system memory and thermal budget with the CPU, so graphics-heavy sustained workloads will throttle before the 32 GB DDR4 or NVMe SSD become bottlenecks.

How loud and hot does the 12.5 inch chassis get when the quad-core processor and Thunderbolt 3 port are both active all day?

The compact 12.5 inch unibody relies on a single fan; expect noticeable fan noise and warm keyboard deck during continuous CPU plus Thunderbolt 3 traffic, especially at the 1366 x 768 display’s maximum brightness.
