Business-ready notebook

The Dell Latitude 7480 P73G is a 14-inch laptop built for daily office tasks and mobile professionals. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i7-7600U dual-core processor at 2.8 GHz with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD.

Suited for standard productivity

This machine fits users who need a light 14.0-inch Full HD display, integrated Intel HD Graphics 620, and wireless connectivity through 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2. Buyers who want a dedicated graphics card, a touchscreen panel, or more internal storage should look at other configurations.

Dual-core i7-7600U at 2.8 GHz

The processor’s two cores and 2.8 GHz clock speed set the performance ceiling for spreadsheets, video calls and general multitasking. If your workload demands higher sustained multi-thread throughput, this CPU will be the limiting factor.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 16GB DDR4 module in this 7480 and what step causes the most errors?

Remove the base cover, align the notch on the DDR4 stick with the slot key, press down evenly until the side clips lock; the frequent error is forcing the module before the notch is fully seated.

What maintenance or replacement will the 256GB SSD and the 16GB DDR4 memory need over time?

The SSD has a finite write endurance, so plan a drive replacement after heavy workloads; the DDR4 memory rarely fails but can be upgraded if the two slots are not already populated.

Which limit appears first during sustained load on the i7-7600U with Intel HD Graphics 620?

The dual-core 2.8GHz processor hits thermal throttling before the integrated graphics become the bottleneck, so the CPU temperature ceiling is the first constraint.
