Replacement LCD cable for 12.1" Dell Latitude CP series screens, part 4081T
This replacement cable connects the display panel to the motherboard on Dell Latitude CP, CPi and CPiA notebooks. It carries the video signal for the 12.1 inch screen and is supplied new under Dell part number 4081T. Installing it can restore the picture when the original flex cable has worn or been damaged.
A faulty display cable often mimics a dead screen or motherboard fault, so swapping this part first can avoid unnecessary expense. The upgrade is worthwhile when the notebook shows flickering, artefacts or no image at all while an external monitor works normally. It is not for machines with a different screen size or a different Dell latitude family.

The cable carries Dell part number 4081T and is made for the 12.1" screens in Latitude CP, CPi, and CPiA models.
Remove the bezel, unplug the old cable from the screen and motherboard, route the new 4081T cable through the hinge, then reconnect both ends — the step often missed is seating the motherboard connector fully before snapping the bezel back.
