Core business laptop

The Dell Latitude E5450 is a 14.0" FHD laptop driven by an Intel Core i7-5600U dual-core processor at 2.60 GHz with a 3.20 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 8GB of DDR3 memory across two slots and a new 128GB 2.5" SATA SSD. No operating system is installed.

Professionals needing a ready Windows machine

This unit suits IT teams or developers comfortable installing their own OS and configuring drivers. Buyers who want a laptop that boots to a licensed desktop out of the box should look elsewhere, as the product arrives with no operating system.

Operating system requirement

The single deciding factor is that no operating system is included; the buyer must supply and install Windows or an alternative before the laptop can be used for daily work.

Questions about this item

Will a 2.5" SATA drive fit the 128GB SSD bay in this Latitude E5450?

Yes, the storage spec lists a 128GB SSD 2.5" SATA, so any standard 2.5" SATA drive will fit the same bay.

What is the correct order to seat the two DDR3 SO-DIMMs when upgrading to 16GB?

Insert the first module into the primary slot under the keyboard, then add the second module into the secondary slot beneath the bottom cover.

When should the 128GB SATA SSD be replaced to maintain performance?

Plan replacement when the drive approaches its write endurance limit or if SMART data shows reallocated sectors increasing.
