Ready-to-use 14" business laptop

The Dell Latitude E5450 ships with Windows 10 Home 64-bit already activated by a digital product key, so no manual entry is required. An Intel Core i7 dual-core 5th-generation processor running at 2.90 GHz and 8 GB of DDR3 memory handle everyday office workloads. The 240 GB solid-state drive provides the operating system and application storage.

Sustained office workloads

The dual-core processor maintains its 2.90 GHz speed for typical business tasks such as document editing, web browsing and email. With two memory slots populated to 8 GB, the system can be expanded to 16 GB if heavier multitasking is needed. The SSD keeps boot and load times consistent without the latency spikes of a mechanical drive.

Practical connectivity and build

A 14.0-inch non-touch display keeps the chassis compact for desk or mobile use. Two USB ports and 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN cover essential peripherals and network access. The black Latitude chassis is designed for business durability, and the absence of an optical drive reduces weight and potential failure points.

Questions about this item

How loud and warm does the Dell Latitude E5450 get when the Intel Core i7 5th Gen 2.90 GHz processor runs all day?

The 2.90 GHz dual-core chip draws modest power, so under sustained load the chassis warms slightly and the fan spins up to an audible but not intrusive level.

What must I already own to use the 14.0" non-touch display and the two USB ports on this Latitude E5450?

The laptop ships with Windows 10 Home 64-bit installed and a digital licence key; only a power outlet is required to start working.

Will my older 802.11a/b/g wireless router and DDR3 memory modules work with this E5450?

Yes, the built-in 802.11a/b/g WLAN connects to legacy routers, and the two DDR3 slots accept up to 16 GB total if you want to add your existing sticks.
