Dell Latitude E5520 15.6" laptop

This Dell Latitude E5520 is a 15.6-inch laptop with a charcoal gray chassis. It runs on an Intel Core i7 2nd Gen dual-core processor at 2.20GHz with 6 MB L3 cache. The system includes 8GB DDR3 RAM and a 1TB SSD for storage. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed for immediate use.

Installation and common issues

The laptop arrives with Windows 10 Pro already installed, so initial setup follows the standard out-of-box experience. Integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics use system memory, which may limit performance in demanding visual tasks. The DVD-RW drive handles optical media, while the built-in card reader supports common memory cards. Ensure the TPM security chip is enabled in BIOS if your organisation requires hardware encryption.

Pre-purchase checks

Verify that the 15.6-inch HD+ LED display meets your viewing requirements, as it is a non-touch panel. Confirm the available ports — VGA and HDMI — match your external monitor or projector needs. The Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 wireless and Gigabit Ethernet provide network connectivity options. Buyers who need more than 8GB RAM or a discrete graphics card should consider other models.
